Family Encounter is a ministry dedicated to helping families be attentive to God and to family members.
One part of Family Encounter is a weekend in which families set aside time for the purpose of the family unit being attentive to God and to each other. These weekends are a special time which families can grow closer to God and to each other as a family unit. Specially planned age appropriate activities are designed to help parents and children to experience God's presence and grow in deeper appreciation for others in the family. These activities are to help families develop listening skills and grow in being attentive to each other.
Family Encounter also includes helping extended families plan family-building activities for family reunions and gatherings.
As families become attentive to God and to each other, the family unit will grow stronger and will be a place of physical, emotional and spiritual growth.

Family Encounters are held close to Allensville, PA, in central Pennsylvania. A two story farm house, with four bedrooms, plus a cabin, provides lodging for a family unit for up to 12 people. Family building activities will take place in the lawn space around the house and in the 50 acres of forest.
Come prepared for physical exercise. Come prepared to get to know God better. Come prepared to grow closer together as a family.
